Object description

... leave to arrive ... that could be the motto for moving to this town, a district town with a functioning infrastructure, many tourists and young people. In addition to the many leisure and tourist opportunities, there is also a technical college for e.g. mechanical engineering and business in general. The town of Meschede is home to a grammar school, a secondary school, two lower secondary schools and five elementary school. There are 9 daycare centers in the town of Meschede alone, as well as a private secondary school and a private grammar school. In cooperation with the schools concerned, the town of Meschede has set up international classes for refugee children at the local grammar school. Multicultural? Yes, a successful mixture of tradition and modernity, as in the entire Sauerland region. This mixture is expressed, for example, in the care and use of the old half-timbered houses, the old town centers and the active use of the imposing churches on the one hand and the lively pub scene, the innovative industrial companies and, above all, the coexistence of those born here with the immigrants on the other. There are certainly initial points of contact when cultures meet. But: the large, well-designed and family-friendly apartments in our houses with plenty of space to live, play and get to know each other make it easy to accept foreigners and get along. We have even established two mobile specialty vendors, which are well received by the residents twice a week. Small conversations take place here, which make living together pleasant and interesting. The buildings are modern and some are equipped with a lift. There are benches, sandpits and even a settee with a chessboard and a checkers on the spacious, well-kept grounds. There is a football pitch for older children. The quiet residential area is only 3 bus stops away from Mescheden town center.

Location can live well here and you won't "acidify" at all. The Sauerland is a lovable home region with a high quality of life. You wouldn't believe it, but the Sauerland is the 3rd largest industrial region in Germany with innovative, high-performance companies such as the Veltins, Warsteiner, Falke and Ritzenhoff Kristall breweries. Many metal and plastics processing companies are based here. Manufacturers of lamps and luminaires from the region present themselves during the lighting week. Education and research are not neglected either. There is a university of applied sciences with research topics on wastewater treatment, sewage treatment plants and the environment, as well as a Fraunhofer Institute. Several initiatives, such as "Heimvorteil" or "urban Sauerland", aim to attract skilled workers to the region. And it is the wonderful nature, mountains and forests and the many sights, the extensive network of cycling and hiking trails that attract tourists. Culture and art can be experienced, for example, in the art summer, at the Sauerlandtheater or at the open-air stage in Arnsberg.
