Object description

... Attract attention! Our housing estate is colorful; you can see the beautiful, colorful facades as you drive past. Most of our tenants have lived here for a very long time. Just like the trees and green spaces around them, they have grown their annual rings. New residents have arrived. Young people with and without children. Commuters to the surrounding industrial locations of Leipzig, Merseburg and Leuna have also become interested in the solidly renovated apartments in our buildings. The urban planners of the GDR also built the housing estate around Heinrich-Heine-, Gustav-Adolf- and Schladebacher Straße based on the Bauhaus concept. What luck for the residents! 14 colorful houses with around 450 apartments of all sizes are managed by Velero Wohnen. They are generously distributed across the large site, together with allotment gardens, a school, kindergarten and shopping facilities. Under old, gnarled trees in the middle of the sprawling estate is a large playground with play equipment and benches for a little informal chit-chat among neighbors. The allotment gardens in the middle of the residential area are ideal for young people with children. Eco and gardening are contemporary and modern. And who knows whether the grandparents who live far away will find a good substitute here ... Maybe there will be a second grandparent who will show the borrowed grandson the streetcar route no. 5 during the vacations, the technical line through the Saale district to Halle! Or take him to the flower festival in summer?

Bad Dürrenberg, Leuna's comfort zone? That was already the case in the 1920s and 1930s. As an "extension" of Leuna, a garden city was planned and built in Bad Dürrenberg by Bauhaus architects. The result was something unique. Light, air, greenery with a view of practical life, even today. A second attraction - built somewhat earlier, around the turn of the century - is the graduation house. An impressive building. A high and wide wall made of brushwood, down which runs brine, a salty lye from the healing spring, which was previously used purely for salt extraction. The brushwood finely atomizes the salt water droplets, making it feel like you are in the North Sea. Salt is the economic engine of the entire region. A wonderful spa park with a palm tree and bird house has been created around the graduation house, which is easily accessible to the whole family for recreation and leisure activities. And best of all, everything is within cycling or walking distance. There is a large shopping center in Günthersdorf, 10 minutes away by car, with everything your heart desires. There are good transport links to Halle, Leipzig and Merseburg/Leuna, where most of Bad Dürrenberg's residents work. The town is located on the edge of this large, modern and international industrial location, where all trades and fields of study are needed. Bad Dürrenberg is a real option for living and is still an insider tip.
