About Erfurt:

As the state capital of the Free State of Thuringia, Erfurt is the largest city in Thuringia with just under 214,000 inhabitants and one of the state’s three regional centers together with Jena and Gera.

Erfurt’s economy is characterized by administration and services. In addition, various companies in the mechanical and plant engineering and microelectronics sectors have settled in the city. Due to its central location in Germany, an important logistics sector has also established itself.
Erfurt is second only to Leipzig in terms of trade fairs in the eastern German states.
The city’s main railway station is an important passenger rail hub.
Erfurt is also known for its horticulture, with attractions such as the egapark, the German Horticultural Museum and the 2021 Federal Horticultural Show.

Furthermore, Erfurt is a media center, as it is home to the children’s channel KiKA, several radio stations and daily newspapers.

The Rieth

Rieth is a district in the north of the Thuringian state capital of Erfurt. It is a prefabricated housing estate built in 1969 and currently has around 6400 inhabitants.
Neighboring districts include Ilversgehofen, Berliner Platz, Moskauer Platz, Gispersleben and Roter Berg.
The district is located in a floodplain between the River Gera and the Narrow Gera, its focal point is the Platz der Völkerfreundschaft with the Vilnius-Passagen shopping center.
Rieth is connected to the center of Erfurt by streetcar lines 1 and 6, so that the main train station can be reached easily and conveniently within 15 minutes. The city bus line 10 also runs here.

Living in Rieth has a number of advantages.
One of these is the short walking and cycling distances to schools (grammar, comprehensive, primary and regular schools) and the many daycare centers.
Supermarkets (Vilnius-Passage, Thüringen Park shopping center), bakeries, pharmacies and many other stores and services are also located nearby.
For foodies, there are more than a handful of restaurants and cafés less than 500 m from our properties.

For outdoor activities, there are many green spaces, parks and the green banks of the River Gera or the Schmalen Gera in the surrounding area.
Sports enthusiasts can also look forward to a wide range of activities in Rieth. There is everything from a cycling track, climbing hall, Rieth sports hall, bowling center, martial arts club and dance sports center.
And for young families, there is a wide variety of playgrounds within walking distance.

Various doctors’ surgeries, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech therapists and, of course, the Helios Clinic provide good medical and therapeutic care in Rieth.

Property Kasseler Straße 2 and Mainzer Straße 21

Our two 15-storey buildings in Kasseler Strasse and Mainzer Strasse were built in the 1970s.
The 1- to 4-room apartments have been renovated and, depending on the size of the apartment, are typically divided into a living room (without balcony), bedroom, interior bathroom with bathtub and/or shower and storage room. Some also have kitchenettes in the open-plan living area.

There are two elevators in each apartment, but the buildings are not barrier-free.

However, the “Rieth” train stop is only 200 m away and ensures stress-free and convenient public transport connections.
